is some history about the station.
'EKR' is a fantastic Rock Radio that started in 1995. 'EKR' first stood for 'East Kent Radio' in 1995 and changed its name to 'EKR' standing for 'European Klassik Rock' in 1997. 'EKR' standing for 'European Klassik Rock shut down in 1999. In 2009 it started again as just 'EKR' standing for nothing. They thought that they shouldn't narrow the music down to just Europe because they didn't want to narrow down the listeners to only Europeans because you can listen to the station worldwide as it is on internet..
